Monkey Town, a leading soft play provider in the Netherlands, recently acquired an aging play center in Kadoelen, Amsterdam. To bring it back to life, they partnered with us.
Here’s how the team transformed this neglected space into a safe, vibrant destination for families to enjoy once again.
Monkey Town are one of the leading soft play companies in the Netherlands, with around 50 centres all over the country.
With a great reputation for providing families with fantastic facilities to make great memories, they have a lot to live up to, and reached out to us for help with their recently acquired site in Kadoelen, Amsterdam.
The soft play area was previously owned by another provider and has been around for many years, and although it was previously well loved, it has fallen into disrepair over the last few years thanks to a lack of maintenance and safety updates.
The result was a closure, and an abandonment for several years, before the Monkey Town group took on the space, acquired the site, and got in touch with us to help restore it.
Our more than able team, led by Sam and Sam, got to work. First, they assessed the structure, to ensure that we had foundations on which to build, and having calculated what safety work needed to be completed, they developed a complete 1:1 rebuild plan to take the site from a state of disrepair, to a thriving soft play centre once more.
The plan involved reusing as much of the existing steel as possible, which reduced waste and cut down on cost, while at the same time implementing the latest safety standards.
Then it was time to manufacture what was required and deliver to site.
Armed with the plan developed by The Play Company, the Monkey Town group had the skills in house to manage the installation of the updated equipment themselves, and Monkey Twon Kadoelen is now open for business and serving the local communities.
